EGYM Wellpass Launches in US Market With Corporate Fitness Platform
European wellness provider enters American market with all-access employee benefits model

European fitness technology company EGYM has officially launched its corporate wellness platform EGYM Wellpass in the United States, targeting the growing demand for comprehensive employee health benefits. The move represents a significant expansion for the fitness tech leader as American companies increasingly invest in worker wellness programs.
EGYM Wellpass operates differently from traditional corporate fitness reimbursement models. The platform provides employees with all-access memberships to over 3,500 gyms and fitness studios nationwide, while also offering digital health tools, mindfulness programs, nutrition resources, and mental health applications. Companies can also opt for on-site gym installations as part of the package.
The US launch builds on EGYM's recent acquisition of boutique fitness network FitReserve, which brought thousands of studio partners into the Wellpass ecosystem. This integration creates a new revenue stream for gym owners who can access corporate member traffic without relying on expensive marketing campaigns or promotional pricing.
EGYM co-founder and CEO Philipp Roesch-Schlanderer has positioned the expansion as part of a broader vision to transform healthcare from treatment-focused to prevention-focused. The company sees a potential total addressable market exceeding $600 billion globally as fitness technology intersects with corporate wellness and healthcare.
"The ultimate vision for EGYM, and a focus for the next 5 years, is to shift healthcare from repair to prevention by building a bridge connecting corporate fitness, fitness technology, and the healthcare market," Roesch-Schlanderer said.
The timing coincides with increased interest in preventative health solutions, particularly as GLP-1 weight loss medications become more prevalent in corporate health plans. EGYM Wellpass managing director Nicolas Stadtelmeyer noted that exercise programs are becoming critical complements to pharmaceutical interventions.
"With the growing adoption of GLP-1 medications, we believe the US is primed for a major evolution in corporate wellness," Stadtelmeyer said. "Preventative health and dedicated workout solutions alongside GLP-1 usage are more critical than ever."
EGYM Wellpass began its American rollout with employer clients in Colorado, with additional markets planned for announcement in the coming months. The company will showcase its platform at the SHRM25 conference in San Diego later this month as it seeks to build partnerships with HR leaders and benefits administrators.
The launch positions EGYM to compete in the rapidly expanding corporate wellness market, where companies are shifting from basic gym reimbursements to comprehensive health platforms that address physical fitness, mental health, and preventative care in integrated packages.
