Life Fitness Integrates With YMCA360 Platform

Equipment maker connects cardio and strength machines to digital platform serving 2,700 YMCA locations

Life Fitness and Hammer Strength have struck a deal with YMCA360 to integrate their equipment directly into the Y's digital platform, creating a unified experience for members using both cardio and strength machines.

The partnership connects Life Fitness equipment across the Discover SE4, SE4 console, and Symbio product lines to YMCA360's on-demand platform, which serves YMCA communities nationwide. Members will be able to log into equipment through the YMCA360 app and access personalized workout programming without switching between systems.

The integration gives YMCA members access to goal-based workout planning, real-time session tracking, and custom training programs through Trainer Connect, which allows personal trainers to push workouts directly to client devices. Members can also access YMCA360's content library directly from equipment consoles.

"Their expanding capabilities represent a game changer for YMCAs looking to deliver a more seamless, connected experience to their members," said Ronn McMahon, YMCA360 co-founder and CEO. McMahon also serves as president of Greater Wichita YMCA.

The backend benefits extend to facility operators, who gain visibility into equipment usage patterns and member workout data. This information helps with equipment rotation decisions and maintenance scheduling while giving trainers deeper insights for program customization.

Life Fitness has been pushing deeper into digital integration as fitness facilities demand more connected experiences. The company's Connect System already powers data collection across its equipment portfolio, and this YMCA partnership expands that reach into one of fitness's largest membership bases.

"Fitness facilities rely on robust digital ecosystems," said Anthony Radek, senior director of connected fitness at Life Fitness and Hammer Strength. "We work closely with our partner gyms to ensure our digital solutions integrate easily with their existing systems and preferred providers."

The timing aligns with broader industry trends toward unified digital experiences. Fitness operators increasingly want single platforms that can handle everything from member check-ins to workout tracking, rather than managing multiple disconnected systems.

YMCA360 launched as the Y's centralized digital platform, offering on-demand classes and fitness content to members across the organization's 2,700 locations. The Life Fitness integration represents the platform's expansion beyond content delivery into equipment connectivity.

The rollout begins later this year across participating YMCA locations. Life Fitness expects the integration to strengthen its position in the institutional fitness market while giving YMCA360 a competitive edge in member retention and engagement.
