ONE Protein Partners with Hershey's for Double Chocolate Bar Launch
Award-winning protein brand taps pro golfer Bryson DeChambeau for viral marketing challenge

ONE Brands is betting on chocolate's dominance in the protein bar category. The company has teamed up with Hershey's to launch the ONE x Hershey's Double Chocolate protein bar, delivering 18 grams of protein and just 1 gram of sugar while targeting America's most preferred protein bar flavor.
The collaboration marks ONE's return to working with Hershey's, aiming to capture more market share in the competitive protein bar space where chocolate consistently ranks as the top consumer preference. The new bar features real Hershey's cocoa and chocolate chips, positioning itself as an indulgent yet functional snack.
"The ONE x Hershey's Double Chocolate flavored protein bar isn't just another convenient and nutritious snack—it unlocks a sweet, satisfying and unforgettable flavor experience that only ONE can offer," said Deanna Lyons, Brand Manager at ONE Brands.
The launch comes with a high-profile marketing push featuring professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau, who has become a social media sensation for his unconventional content and viral trick shots. DeChambeau recently went viral for sinking a hole-in-one over his house, drawing millions of views across platforms.
ONE is capitalizing on DeChambeau's momentum with the "Double or ONEthing Challenge," timed around a major golf championship from June 12-15. If DeChambeau achieves another hole-in-one during the tournament, fans can sign up to receive free protein bars, creating a real-time marketing activation tied to live sports performance.
"When I'm out on the course, I want something that's tasty, fast, and keeps me going," DeChambeau said. "The ONE x Hershey's Double Chocolate flavored protein bar nails it! It's loaded with protein and has that classic Hershey's chocolate taste."
The partnership leverages Hershey's cultural authority in chocolate—the brand has been part of American culture for over a century—while ONE provides the functional nutrition credentials. Chocolate represents the number one snack category overall and the most preferred protein bar flavor among consumers.
DeChambeau will also feature the product in his YouTube series "Course Record," where he takes on golf challenges while incorporating ONE bars into his content. The series runs through August, extending the marketing campaign beyond the initial tournament activation.
The collaboration reflects ONE's strategy of building partnerships with established food brands to differentiate in the crowded protein bar market. By aligning with Hershey's iconic chocolate positioning, ONE aims to appeal to consumers seeking familiar flavors in their functional foods.
The ONE x Hershey's Double Chocolate bar is currently available in select markets with nationwide distribution planned. The partnership positions both brands to capitalize on the growing demand for protein-enriched versions of familiar comfort foods.
